About Us
Fontijne Production Services was founded in 2007, with the primary goal of providing affordable optical motion capture services using a custom-built motion capture system. This system was built from commercial off-the-shelf hardware. Using this hardware allows the mocap system (and hence the service) is much less expensive than other systems.
FPS founder Dr. Daniel Fontijne has an M.Sc. in Artifial Intelligence and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, both from the University of Amsterdam. He co-authored the book Geometric Algebra for Computer Science, published by Morgan Kaufmann, an imprint of Elsevier. Besides a wide experience in topics related to computer graphics, geometry, computer vision and physics simulation, he also has more than 8 years of experience in motion capture.
